Snow and a Happy 2 month old

A few weeks ago we had snow in Birmingham!  Thomas had a blast playing in it.  He threw snow balls and made a snow man.  He was very sad when he woke up from his nap and the snow was gone.  He said "The people took my snow."  He was upset it was gone, but a trip to the golf course to putt made it all better!!

Carson is doing great!!  He is sleeping 7-8.5 hours a night and have even slept all the way through from 8:30 to 7 before!!  He smiles all the time, talks to us, and has laughed at us several times.  He is a very happy baby!!  He had his 2 month check up last week and he is quite the big boy!!  Here are his stats:

2 month weight: 15 lbs 5.5 ounces
2 month height: 23 3/4 inches

Talking, school, and some smiles!

Carson has started "talking" to us.  It is so sweet to hear his coos.  Thomas always says he is trying to tell him something.  He will smile occasionally.  His smiles are very sweet, I am anxious to have more and more of them!!

Thomas is really enjoying his school days.  He loves to tell us about what he did at school.  His teacher taught him his first and last name, and he also picked up a few of his friends last names in the process.  He will refer to a couple of friends in his class by first and last name when he talks about them.  He is a smart boy!

Here are some recent pics of Carson.  Sorry there aren't any of Thomas- he's sleeping right now!

1 month old

I can't believe my baby is 1 month old already.  I can't believe my big baby boy is 2 and a half years old.  That's just crazy!!

Things are going wonderful here.  We have some good nights, some bad nights, and some wonderful nights.  Thomas is still very helpful when there is something he can do to help.  He loves talking to and playing peek a boo with his "baby brudder."  He also calls him Carson James which cracks us up!!

Carson had his 1 month check up this past week.  Here are his stats:

weight: 10 lbs, 14 oz
height: 22 inches

He is a healthy growing baby!

* pics are coming soon!

A new hat

This morning I was getting Thomas ready for school and told me he needed to get his hat from his room.  I couldn't remember what hat he was talking about that was in his room, but I told him to go upstairs to his room and bring down the hat.  A few minutes later James asks me if I know what Thomas is looking for.  I explained the hat situation and hear James laughing.

Here is Thomas in his hat.

Welcome Carson James!!

I know I am way behind on posts, but I have to start back somewhere!  I figured this was the best place to jump back in!!

We welcomed Carson James into our family on January 21st at 7:21 am.  He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 1/4 inches long.  He's a big boy!!!  Thomas has proven to be the best big brother and a big help at home.  He likes it best when Carson's eyes are open.  He has been bringing us diapers, blankets, and anything else he can do to help.  I am thankful that Thomas hasn't skipped a beat!

Disney Day 4

Today we journeyed to Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Thomas was a wild man today.  James and I are both battling a cold, so that made it harder on us to keep up with him today too. Poor Thomas still has his cough and runny nose too.
My boys!

The Tree of Life

We did run into Mary Pat and her family as we entered the park.  It was nice to meet her and her family. This park didn't have many rides for little ones do, more things to look at and shows to watch.  James said he did enjoy Kilimanjaro Safari.  On the Safari there were elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and many other animals.  We went to a bird show and I had to take Thomas out early because he wasn't interested.  We rode on a Dinosaur that took us "high."

We went to see the show Finding Nemo, which Thomas had been talking about all day.  The show was 40 minutes long, and Thomas only lasted half of it.  James took him out midway through, and when we met up after the show, Thomas was fast asleep.  He slept for about an hour.  While he was sleeping we ran into Dan and his family and Ken and his family.  It was so nice to finally get to meet everyone!!

We had dinner reservations at Rainforest Cafe with TIA families.  We were a party of 21, with 11 of those children.  We didn't get to all sit together, but it was nice that we all were together at one time!  I can't believe I didn't get a picture of us all together!!!
